Bovill is a tiny logging town of about 100 people in northern Idaho's timber country, reached via State Route 8 about 30 miles northeast of Moscow. The winding mountain road passes through working forest lands before reaching this valley community that serves the regional logging industry. Bovill operates one of Idaho's last steam-powered sawmills, still cutting lumber with early 1900s equipment.
