Bovey is a small iron range town in north-central Minnesota, about 20 miles southwest of Grand Rapids via Highway 169. The area features dense forests, lakes, and rolling terrain typical of the Arrowhead region. Highway 38 runs east-west through town, connecting to other mining communities, while Highway 169 provides the main north-south route toward the Twin Cities. The town sits in the heart of the historic Mesabi Iron Range, where massive open-pit mines once extracted ore for America's steel industry.
