Bottineau, ND

united states

united states

Bottineau sits 10 miles from the Canadian border in the forested Turtle Mountains, unusual terrain for North Dakota. Highway 5 runs through town, connecting to Minot 70 miles west and Rugby to the east. Most visitors arrive via Highway 2 from Grand Forks or Minot. The town serves as county seat and home to Dakota College at Bottineau, which still operates one of the region's few remaining forestry programs.
