Borden is a small Clark County town of under 1,000 people in southern Indiana's rolling hills. State Road 60 is the main route, connecting east to New Albany and the Louisville area about 15 miles away, and west toward Salem. Most local traffic uses SR 60 for commutes to New Albany for work and shopping. The town features the historic Borden Tunnel, a 900-foot railroad tunnel carved through solid rock in the 1880s that's still used by CSX trains.
