Bonnie is a small farming town in southern Illinois with 461 residents, located in Jefferson County's corn and soybean country. Take I-64 to Exit 95, then Route 142 east for three miles to reach the village. Route 142 connects west to Mount Vernon (8 miles), while I-64 provides access to St. Louis (85 miles) and Evansville (60 miles). The town was named after Bonnie Ewing, daughter of an Illinois Central Railroad official who established the depot here in the early 1900s.
