Bonanza is a small Arkansas town of 711 people near the Oklahoma border in Sebastian County. It's about 20 miles south of Fort Smith via US Highway 271, with Arkansas Highway 10 providing east-west access. Fort Smith Regional Airport is 25 miles northeast. The town got its name from early settlers who found success farming the rich river bottom soil.
