Bolivar is a small county seat in western Tennessee, about an hour east of Memphis on Highway 64. The town sits in rolling farm country and serves as a hub for the surrounding rural area. Most visitors pass through on Highway 64 or State Route 18, which runs north-south through downtown. The 1868 Hardeman County Courthouse features a striking mansard roof that's visible from blocks away.
