Boligee is a small riverside community of 185 people in west-central Alabama's Greene County. Highway 14 provides the main access, connecting to Highway 69 from Tuscaloosa (45 miles) or Highway 43 from Demopolis (25 miles). The town sits on the Tombigbee River where a historic ferry once carried travelers between counties before modern bridges were constructed downstream.
