Boley is a small Oklahoma town on US Highway 62, about 50 miles east of Oklahoma City and 45 miles from Tulsa. Founded in 1903 as an all-black town during the territorial period, it sits in rolling prairie country where central Oklahoma's red hills meet the eastern woodlands. Most visitors arrive via US 62 from either direction, with connections to I-40 for long-distance travelers. The restored 1907 courthouse remains a striking reminder of the community's distinctive role in Oklahoma history.
