Bogue is a small coastal community in North Carolina's Crystal Coast region, connected by Highway 58 to the barrier island beaches. Most visitors arrive via Highway 24 from Morehead City or Jacksonville, then follow Highway 58 to reach the various beach towns. The area sits between Bogue Sound and the Atlantic Ocean, offering easy access to both mainland amenities and island recreation. The Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area preserves 265 acres of rare maritime forest right in town.
