Bluff is a tiny desert town of 233 people perched on red cliffs above the San Juan River in southeastern Utah. Located on US 191 between Moab (90 miles north) and Monument Valley (20 miles south), it's a gateway to Bears Ears National Monument and a launch point for river trips. The stone buildings along Main Street were built by Mormon pioneers in the 1880s.
