Bloomington is a farming town of 710 people in southwestern Wisconsin's Grant County, surrounded by the rolling hills of the Driftless Area. Highway 133 runs through town, connecting to Prairie du Chien 20 miles southeast and Muscoda 15 miles east, while Highway 35 along the Mississippi provides access from Dubuque. The town's most notable landmark is its 1880s grain elevator, still standing along the old Wisconsin Central railroad grade.
