Bloomfield is a small farming town in Missouri's Bootheel, surrounded by cotton and soybean fields. Highway 25 runs north-south through town, connecting to Interstate 55 near Advance for trips to Cape Girardeau or Memphis. Most local traffic heads west on Route 53 to Dexter for shopping. The 1908 red brick courthouse still dominates the town square.
