Bloomfield is a small Greene County seat in southwestern Indiana, about 60 miles from Indianapolis via State Road 37 south to SR-54 west. The town of 2,700 sits in rolling hill country between the flat northern plains and rugged southern regions. Main access comes from SR-54, which runs east-west through town connecting Linton and Sullivan, while SR-45 provides scenic access from Bloomington. The 1907 courthouse with its prominent clock tower has been keeping time on the town square for over a century.
