Bloomdale is a small farming village in northwestern Ohio's Wood County, about 25 miles southeast of Toledo. State Route 18 runs east-west through town, connecting to Fostoria and Napoleon, while most longer trips require heading north to the Ohio Turnpike. The surrounding flat farmland reflects the area's agricultural focus, and the village is notable for preserving one of Ohio's last active one-room schoolhouses as a community museum.
