Blasdell is a small lakeside village just south of Buffalo, easily reached via I-90 or Route 5 along Lake Erie's shore. The community serves as a quiet residential area for Buffalo commuters, with Route 5 providing the main connection through town and Route 219 linking north to the city. Buffalo Niagara International Airport sits about 20 miles northeast via I-90. The village maintains one of Erie County's few public Lake Erie beaches at Blasdell Beach.
