Blanchard is a small city in northwest Louisiana, about 20 miles west of Shreveport via Interstate 20. Take I-20 west from Shreveport for a 25-minute drive, or use Highway 173 for north-south access. The area sits near Barksdale Air Force Base and features gently rolling terrain created by ancient Red River meanders that give local roads their distinctive curves.
