Bexley is an upscale suburb completely surrounded by Columbus, about eight miles east of downtown. Interstate 70 runs along its southern edge, while State Route 16 (Broad Street) cuts straight through the city connecting to downtown Columbus. The tree-lined streets follow the original early 1900s planned community design. Capital University, a private liberal arts school dating to 1850, anchors this small city and gives it a collegiate feel.
