Beulah is a tiny lakeside town of 218 people on Crystal Lake in northern Michigan, about 25 miles southwest of Traverse City. Reach it via US-31 from the coast or M-115 from Cadillac through Manistee National Forest. The area gets heavy lake-effect snow in winter but enjoys mild summers moderated by the lake. The Cherry Hut restaurant has been serving its famous cherry pie since 1922.
