Bethel is a small eastern North Carolina town in Pitt County, about 15 miles east of Greenville via US Highway 264. The main routes are US 264 running east-west and State Route 11 going north-south toward Tarboro. Most visitors come from Greenville or use US 264 as a route toward the coast. The restored 1920s railroad depot downtown now houses the visitor center and local museum.
