Bertsch-Oceanview is a small coastal community of 2,250 people in far northern California, just south of Crescent City near the Oregon border. Highway 101 provides the main access through dramatic redwood country, with Crescent City five miles north and Eureka 80 miles south. The community sits on coastal bluffs where Frederick Bertsch established a dairy ranch in the 1870s that his descendants still operate today.
