Bernardsville is an upscale borough in Somerset County's Watchung Mountains, about 35 miles west of Manhattan. Route 202 runs right through town and connects to I-287 and other major highways. Most visitors take I-80 west to 287 south, then Route 202 south. The area's rolling hills and colonial estates make it a popular bedroom community for NYC commuters. The town's 1899 railroad station, now the library, features a distinctive red brick facade and clock tower.
