Bentonia is a tiny Mississippi town of about 200 people, located 50 miles southwest of Jackson via Highway 433 and rural roads. Most visitors drive here specifically to visit the Blue Front Cafe, a legendary blues juke joint operating since 1948 that helped create the distinctive "Bentonia blues" guitar style with its haunting minor-key sound.
