Benoit is a small Delta community in Bolivar County, reached via US Highway 61 and State Route 8. The town serves the surrounding cotton and soybean farms in this flat agricultural region. Most visitors arrive from Cleveland (15 miles south) or Clarksdale (30 miles north) on Highway 61, while longer trips connect through these larger towns to Interstate 55 or Memphis. The surrounding fields still grow cotton today, creating expanses of white during the late summer harvest.
