Bennington is a small farming town of about 650 people in north-central Kansas, reached via US Highway 18. It's about 20 miles from Concordia and sits amid rolling wheat country typical of the Smoky Hills region. The town's century-old grain elevator still towers over the prairie, processing wheat from local farms just as it has since 1917.
