Benbrook is a Fort Worth suburb of 24,500 people built around a large recreational lake about 12 miles southwest of downtown. Take I-20 west from Fort Worth or Dallas, with US 377 running north-south through town toward the Hill Country. The 3,770-acre Benbrook Lake dominates the landscape, created by damming the Trinity River for flood control and recreation.
