Belpre is a tiny farming town of 36 people in south-central Kansas, reached via Highway 183 about 20 miles south of US-50. Most visitors are passing through on local county routes or heading to larger towns like Hutchinson. The old grain elevator from the former Santa Fe Railway branch line still stands as a prairie landmark visible for miles.
