Belmar is a classic Jersey Shore town in Monmouth County, known for its mile-long boardwalk and beach access. Most visitors arrive via the Garden State Parkway (Exit 98) to Route 35 south, or through Route 138 from inland areas. The town gets busy during summer beach season, with Route 35 and Ocean Avenue handling most traffic. The marina here hosts one of the East Coast's largest sport fishing fleets.
