Bellmead is a small city just north of Waco along Interstate 35, making it a convenient stop between Dallas and Austin. The main access is I-35, with State Highway 6 providing east-west connections. Waco Regional Airport is about 10 miles southwest. The city features the historic Bellmead Civic Center, an Art Deco building from the 1940s originally built for World War II defense workers.
