Bellerose straddles the Nassau-Queens border on Long Island, accessible via Cross Island Parkway and Hempstead Avenue. The compact village sits eight miles from JFK Airport and ten minutes from the Long Island Expressway. Despite covering just half a square mile with about 1,100 residents, it maintains one of Nassau County's smallest post offices in a converted house from 1926.
