Bellemeade is a tiny incorporated city in Jefferson County, just southwest of Louisville. Reach it via I-264 (Watterson Expressway) with exits at Poplar Level Road or Taylor Boulevard, or take US 31E (Dixie Highway) north-south. The community sits in the Ohio River valley with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Despite having under 900 residents, Bellemeade runs its own police department.
