Belle is a small Missouri town of about 1,200 people along the Gasconade River, roughly 60 miles southwest of Jefferson City. Highway 28 is the main route in, connecting east to the state capital and west toward Lebanon. Most visitors come from Interstate 44 via Rolla or St. Robert, then take Highway 28 east for 30 miles. The 1903 railroad depot, now a community center, recalls Belle's origins as a Missouri Pacific Railroad stop.
