Bellaire is a small northern Michigan town of about 1,000 people that sits along US-131, the main route connecting Grand Rapids to Petoskey. State Route 88 runs east-west through town toward Torch Lake. The area features rolling, forested hills dotted with lakes, making it popular for outdoor recreation year-round. Short's Brewing Company operates out of a converted hardware store and has become one of the state's most innovative craft breweries.
