Bella Villa is a tiny city of about 700 people in St. Louis County, just 10 miles southwest of downtown via I-44. Gravois Road cuts through the community, connecting it to neighboring Affton and Sunset Hills, while I-44 provides quick access to the metro area and Lambert Airport (20 miles northwest). The city operates its own police department from a small city hall that doubles as home to the local historical society.
