Belding is a small city in west-central Michigan, about 25 miles northeast of Grand Rapids along the Flat River. Most visitors take M-44 east from US-131, making it a quick 30-minute drive from Grand Rapids. The town sits in rolling farmland and serves as a quiet stop along several state highways connecting rural Ionia County communities. Downtown features a historic 1903 Carnegie library that still operates as the community's main library.
