Beeville sits 90 miles southeast of San Antonio in South Texas ranch country. US Highway 181 runs north-south through town, connecting to San Antonio via Floresville and to Corpus Christi toward the coast. State Highway 202 provides the main east-west route. The city serves as Bee County's seat amid rolling prairie, cattle ranches, and oil fields. Chase Field Industrial Airport here once trained thousands of Navy pilots during World War II.
