Beech Bottom is a tiny Ohio River community in West Virginia's northern panhandle, right at the Pennsylvania and Ohio borders. Access is via State Route 2 along the river, with most traffic being local commuters to nearby Weirton or longer trips connecting to Pittsburgh. The town gets its name from the beech trees that once filled the river bottom lands.
