Beaver Valley is a tiny mountain community of 74 people tucked into Arizona's pine country at 5,200 feet elevation. Take Highway 87 north from Phoenix through Payson, then Highway 260 northeast to Forest Road 64. The nearest airport is Payson, 25 miles away. Summer temperatures stay in the 70s while winter brings snow. Historic beaver dams still dot the seasonal creek that gives the valley its name.
