Beaver Meadows is a small Carbon County borough of 730 people in Pennsylvania's former coal country. Take I-81 Exit 145 to Route 309 north to reach town, about 8 miles from Hazleton and 35 miles north of Allentown. The area still has original early 1900s company houses where coal miners once lived.
