Beaumont is a small Mississippi town in Perry County, connected to Hattiesburg 25 miles east via Highway 98. State Route 29 provides north-south access through rural pine country. Most long-distance travelers use Hattiesburg to reach Interstate 59 for trips to New Orleans or Meridian. The historic Leaf River flows through pine forests just south of town.
