Beattie is a farming community of 185 people in Marshall County, reached via Highway 9 about 15 miles southeast of Marysville. Most visitors drive from Topeka (90 miles south via US-77 and Highway 9) or connect from US-36 at Frankfort. The town sits in rolling Flint Hills country where a restored 1920s grain elevator still operates during harvest.
