Bearden is a small Arkansas town of about 800 people along Highway 167, roughly halfway between Camden and El Dorado. It's a convenient stop for travelers on the main route between Little Rock (90 miles northeast) and Louisiana. The town sits in pine hill country with a historic downtown featuring restored 1920s commercial buildings, including an old bank that's now a local museum.
