Bearcreek is a tiny Montana community of 88 people in Carbon County, reached via Highway 308 from US 212 near Red Lodge. It sits in high country where the Beartooth Mountains meet prairie, about 60 miles from Billings. The town was once a coal mining hub, and you can still see remnants of the old Bearcreek Mine scattered along the surrounding hillsides.
