Bean Station sits along US Highway 25E in northeast Tennessee, about 15 miles from Morristown and 45 minutes north of Knoxville. Interstate 81 provides easy access via Exit 23, making it a convenient stop on the major Virginia-to-Tennessee corridor. The town of 3,000 overlooks Cherokee Lake in the Appalachian foothills and gets its name from the bean-shaped trading post building where Cherokee and settlers once conducted business.
