Batchtown is a tiny Mississippi River community in rural Illinois, reachable mainly via scenic Route 100 from Grafton or by crossing from Missouri. Most visitors arrive via I-270 and the Clark Bridge at Alton, then follow the Great River Road south. The seasonal Brussels Ferry offers an alternative route across the Illinois River. You can stand at the confluence point where the Illinois and Mississippi rivers merge.
