Bartlett is a small farming town about 45 miles northeast of Austin via Highway 95, passing through Taylor in under an hour. The area features rolling blackland prairie with hot summers and mild winters, surrounded by cotton fields and ranches. The town's working grain elevators and cotton gins still line the railroad tracks that run through its center.
