Bartlett is a tiny farming town in central Nebraska's Wheeler County, home to about 190 people. Highway 281 runs right through it, connecting to Grand Island 60 miles southeast and the Sandhills to the north. Highway 70 intersects here too, linking nearby rural communities. The area's rolling prairie supports cattle ranching and grain farming, with wind energy projects increasingly visible across the landscape. The town's century-old wooden grain elevator still towers over Main Street and operates during harvest season.
