Barryton is a small farming community of about 400 people in central Michigan's Mecosta County. Most visitors arrive via US-131, taking Exit 162 east on 19 Mile Road. It's about 45 minutes north of Grand Rapids and connects to nearby towns via M-66. The area features rolling hills, forests, and farmland along the Chippewa River. The village maintains a historic one-room schoolhouse from 1883 that now operates as a community museum with original furnishings.
