Barrackville is a small West Virginia town along the Monongahela River, about 10 miles south of Morgantown via I-79 Exit 146. Most visitors arrive from Pittsburgh (75 miles) or use US Route 119 from Morgantown through scenic river valley terrain. The town's historic railroad bridge spanning the Monongahela has carried trains since the early 1900s.
