Barnard is a tiny farming town in north-central Kansas with under 100 people, located on Highway 18 about 15 miles west of Lincoln. Most visitors arrive via Highway 18 or from Interstate 70, about 30 miles south near Ellsworth. The town sits in rolling wheat country typical of the High Plains. Its historic grain elevator towers over the prairie, visible for miles across the open farmland.
